Open the Box!

I had a delivery a couple of days before the big birthday.
This box arrived. I was very excited because I love The White Company, but I was very good and didn't open it until the day.
Inside was this box and a little card with a birthday wish from Sally, my dear friend.

Inside this smart box was this:

Another stylish box.
And inside this? Yes, you've guessed it, another box.

A beautiful trinket box. Thank you Sally, it really is lovely.
And because I know you all want to see I couldn't resist this final photo.

I hope the sun is shining for you today.
And a big "Hello" to my new followers.

  2. That is a very beautiful box indeed :-)
Mind you I would have been excited just to have the cardboard box let alone the beautiful silver one too !!!
The batting / wadding for a quilt ... I usually buy it at an online shop called "cotton patch" I've done a link in the tutorial. I would have thought JL would have it, but I've not been there for sooooo looonnnngggg !!
We must have a phone call chat very soon indeed - I'm off to get kiddiwinks now ;-)

Yes, the cardboard box in itself was very exciting indeed!

  4. How lovely. I like The White Company too. The packaging wouldn't go wasted either - outer box full of newspapers for re-cyling inner box to keep or re-use for gift & tissue to the charity shop for wrapping delicate items.

    1. Thanks Penny,
That's all the packaging sorted then!
I think I'll probably keep the inner box because it will be jolly useful to store threads or buttons or something like that .
And my youngest volunteers at a local charity shop so she can take the tissue along next time she goes :)
      Take care, x
